I’m sure most of us have at some point booked tickets for a gig or other event online. And whilst the ticket itself can be at times pricey enough, once the seemingly obligatory booking fee is added on, it becomes an even bigger expense than we originally thought.
Our Startup of The Week this week is aiming to change all that by effectively cutting out the “middle man”.
Ticket Tailor is an online platform which allows event organisers to sell tickets directly to their customers, and eliminates the ticket agency booking and transaction fee.
Rather than having these extra charges, Ticket Tailor charges its’ users a flat monthly fee based on how many events they intend to run. These monthly fees then allow the events organisers or users to retain the proceeds from their ticket sales which are all paid via paypal.
Sellers can set their own booking fee if they wish, but many do not, choosing instead to pass any savings on to their customers.
As the platform is customisable, users can integrate it into their own facebook page or website.
There is also a smartphone version for ticket sales “ on the move”.
At a time when most of us are trying to make our cash stretch that bit further, we think that Ticket Tailor should be supported with open arms. And especially since it is making ticketing a better deal for everyone….
