Startup of the Week – ChocCards

It may have slipped your attention, but this week is actually National Chocolate Week. Yep! A whole week devoted to the celebration of all things chocolate-y. In honour of that, we thought then that it would be pretty sweet (sorry!) to choose a Chocolate business as our business Startup of the Week this week. That honour goes to ChocCards.

ChocCards is a business which designs and provides personalised branded chocolate bar wrappers and cake toppers for customers all across the UK. Their website is really straightforward to use with innovative inbuilt design tools.
– Simply select a product which could be anything from a Chocolate Greetings Card through to chocolate bars for use in a child’s party bag.
– Then select a background for your wrapper – either plain or patterned
– Upload your own image or photo or choose some clipart and also add some text to fully personalise the wrapper.

The service is not only being used by gift buyers purchasing for celebratory events however; there is also a full corporate aspect with companies being able to get branded chocolate for staff incentives, customer giveaways and promotional events. There is also a Wedding division where a host of personalised chocolate bars can be created to use in everything from wedding favours through to place settings.

Another plus point? All the chocolate provided by the company is Fairtrade, locally sourced and made to authentic Belgian recipes.

Even if you don’t necessarily have a sweet tooth, you must admit that receiving something, however small that is personalised and just for you makes it pretty special. For that reason alone, we reckon ChocCards is on to a winner.
