Interview mistakes to avoid – careercake.tv giving you online face-to-face advice…

At TheEmployable we like people who talk the talk and then walk the walk…

Writing about employability and improving your career prospects can be tough to visualise on a page, as some people like being given career advice face to face. Whilst some of us can read between the lines and take the career advice they need, others do like a more personal touch and learn from the visual, not necessarily the written word.

Therefore we are happy to highlight two videos of note from video blogger and career advisor Aimee Bateman, at  the bottom of this article…

The first is “Interview Mistakes to avoid” and the second is titled “CV Tip – Personal Profile

Aimee’s website careercake.tv has recently gone through a bit of updating and therefore please feel free to take the time to check out two of her many video posts below that feature on her website…In fact support Aimee by checking out her advice online…

We were introduced to Aimee via another experienced and quality ‘Video career advisor’ Beth Reacher who gives life and career coaching online. You can check out her site and videos via www.thecareerstylist.com

There are plenty of good career advisors doing ‘their thang’ via online video messaging, but there are also some stinkers, so just make sure you don’t just take one persons word for it, listen or read a few. Also you have to remember that whilst someone can give sound advice, it might not be the right advice for you…

The other point to make here is that both Aimee and Beth have been blooded in terms of experience from careers in commercial recruitment – and so have the founders of TheEmployable. Love or loath Recruitment Consultancies, in my experience you are more likely to get solid and truthful career advice from ex commercial recruitment bods, than from ‘sitting-behind-desk’ career advisors, as you don’t have to just talk the talk, you have to walk the walk (to at least keep your own job)… Check out the two video’s below…
