Organizational Skills
In all jobs, there is a requirement to be competent at these skills in order to undertake any typical daily job tasks or functions. Examples include:
- setting and meeting targets and deadlines
- team working
- adhering to rules and compliance
- time management
Planning and Analytical Skills
Having the skills to deal with issues that arise as well as thinking ahead about issues which might transpire, are valuable skills which all employers would want. Particular examples of these transferable skills include:
- identifying problems
- finding solutions
- analyzing and interpreting data
- developing new ideas
- devising and implementing strategies
- setting goals and targets
It certainly is a worthwhile exercise to look at your CV and review if you are sufficiently highlighting your own transferable job skills. If not, then it’s time to do something about it!
