Crowdfunding on the internet continues to grow in popularity. Individuals or organisations with potential projects, seek funding and support by the general public. They have a certain amount of time to reach their financial target and generally offer rewards or offers in return for monetary support. Most of the time crowdfunding projects, start with a Pitch to introduce their project and why it should be supported…

We want to Help!! We have a building audience of readers and free space to highlight your pitch. Each week, the plan is to highlight at least one crowdfunding project and give you an extra audience to view your pitch and plans..

Two weeks ago we introduced our first ‘Give us your Pitch’, Jigsaw, who were in the midst of crowdfunding an annual arts publication that they were seeking funding for.

Since then we have had a few interested groups come forward with their projects and these may feature over the coming weeks. However we wanted to highlight a few things first to kick things off;

• We are looking for all types of crowdfunding projects to highlight. They could be based around a social issue or campaign, a community project, an employment project, a startup looking for funding, or an artist or artist group looking to fund their new performance, film or album…
• We would ideally like to feature pitches for projects that are about to go live, or have just gone live on a Crowdfunding platform – to give it a chance to make a real difference.
• It has to be an interesting pitch – a video pitch can be included, in fact anything that sets the scene…
• This is for FREE – we just want to help!! The only thing we ask in return is that you tell people about TheEmployable and spread the word…
• We will decide what Pitch we highlight and we don’t have to explain why – after all we are doing this for free
